On Cottonwood Creek
Welcome.
For the longest time, I kept my thoughts tucked away. Little by little, I’ve been finding the courage to let them out.
They first lived quietly in notes, where they remained unseen. In time, I began sharing them with people I thought I could trust, until life gently revealed the difference between those my mind trusted and those who made my soul feel safe.
Perhaps these words were never meant to stay hidden. Perhaps they were always meant to find their way to the people who needed them, one story at a time.
So, I decided to create a place where they could.
On Cottonwood Creek is more than a name. It’s a reminder of where I’ve learned some of life’s greatest lessons. Out here, the seasons change without asking permission. The wind reshapes the land. Trees weather storms and keep growing. Creeks don’t rush. They simply keep moving, adapting with the landscape around them.
I think people can do the same.
Here you’ll find stories from Wyoming, reflections on healing, resilience, integrity, family, and the quiet beauty often hidden in ordinary moments. Some pieces may make you smile. Some may challenge the way you see the world. Others will simply be honest.
I don’t have all the answers. I don’t pretend to.
I’m simply learning that healing isn’t found in having life all figured out. Sometimes it’s found in paying attention, telling the truth, and having the courage to let ourselves be seen.
If these words encourage even one person to keep going, to believe in hope again, or to feel a little less alone, then sharing them will have been worth it.
Welcome to On Cottonwood Creek.
I’m grateful you’ve found your way here.
